FAQ
Coaching — Frequently Asked Questions
Wardogs coaching is a paid 1-on-1 lesson with a verified high-level player who plays or watches alongside you and explains what to change. It is built around this game rather than around shooters in general: choosing a role, spending Cash well, reading a Control Zone fight and working with vehicles and a base. You book between 1 and 5 hours per order, and the lesson takes place in your own session. Nobody needs your login, so your account stays with you.
No. Coaching never needs a login or password: you play on your own account, and the coach joins you over Discord and, where it helps, in your squad. That is why the order form asks only for your Discord name and your platform. Because the account is never handed over, coaching is also the option with the least exposure to publisher rules on account sharing. You keep full control of the account the whole time.
Wardogs has six roles, each with its own XP track capped at level 100: Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver and Pilot. A coach looks at how you play and suggests where to start. Assault is the plainest entry with assault rifles and sidearms, Medic rewards staying close to teammates, and Support carries the building tools that keep a position alive. Driver and Pilot pay off most once you understand the rotations they serve, so they are a better second choice than a first.
You start every life with $10,000 to spend at the vendor. Most items cost a one-time unlock, paid from your seasonal Cash, plus a vendor price that you pay again each life you carry them. The AK74, for example, is $10,000 to unlock and $1,600 per life. A coach teaches you to build a kit that fits inside the $10,000 on purpose instead of by accident, so you stop arriving at the fight with a fancy rifle and no armor.
After you die, the game offers to give you your last kit back as one purchase. It is convenient and it quietly drains you, because every item in that kit is charged at its full vendor price again. An AK74 is $1,600 per life, a FAL is $6,500 per life and Level 1 armor is $400 per life, so a heavy kit can eat most of your $10,000 before you leave the spawn. A coach has you review the kit each life, which is where the biggest Cash savings in the game come from.
Yes, and it is usually the lesson that changes results fastest. A match is up to 100 players in three teams fighting over a Control Zone, so you are never only facing one enemy: while you push one team, the third can hit your flank. The coach explains when to commit, when to give ground and which side of the zone to approach from, and then checks it live with you in a real match. You leave with a routine for each phase instead of a list of tips.
Yes. Wardogs is a combined-arms game, and the Driver and Pilot roles exist precisely for ground vehicles, helicopters and tanks. A coach explains when a vehicle is worth the Cash and when it is a liability, how to use transport to move a squad into position, and how to stay alive against armor if you are on foot. You can ask for a session focused only on vehicles, or fold them into a general lesson. The same applies to flying: positioning matters far more than raw aim.
Yes, this is one of the least understood parts of the game and one where a lesson pays back quickly. The coach shows how a forward operating base changes a fight, how supplies keep a squad stocked, and how to use the hammer to build and repair instead of only shooting. Support carries the building tools, so it is the natural role to practise on. Good logistics also earn XP and Cash while the rest of the team is waiting for the next push.
Kills are only one source of progress: objective play, revives, transport and logistics all feed XP and Cash too, which is why a careful player in a good role can out-earn a loud one. In a lesson the coach looks at what you actually did in a match and points out what you left on the table, such as a revive you skipped or a delivery you could have chained. They also help you plan which role to push first so that the levels you earn open the gear you will use. You leave with a checklist for the next session.
Yes. Share a recording or stream a few matches over Discord, and the coach pauses at the moments that decided the fight, such as a bad kit, a late retreat or a rotation into the wrong team. Reviewing your own play works better than generic advice because the examples are your mistakes in your situation. Ask in the order chat what to record before the session starts. If you prefer to practise live, the coach can spectate and talk you through a match instead.
An order covers between 1 and 5 hours, and the price is per hour. One hour is enough for a focused topic, such as fixing your loadout habits or learning one rotation. Two or three hours suit a role you are picking up, where the coach can teach, watch you try it and correct you. Five hours cover a wider programme across roles, vehicles and base building, and you can always book another order if you want to continue.
Coaches are the same verified players who take orders on the platform: they pass a review before they can sell and are rated by customers after every order. Wardogs is new, having entered Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026, so the strongest players are the ones who put the most hours into the early patches. You choose the offer you trust after comparing coaches, and you can ask about their roles and play style in the order chat before you pay. If a lesson does not match what was agreed, support is available around the clock.
At a season reset Cash and level progression start again, but your skill does not, which is why coaching ages better than a purchased level. Gold Bars and cosmetics stay on the account. Habits such as reading a rotation, building a kit around $10,000 and avoiding the rebuy trap carry into the next season. A coach can also help you plan the first hours of a new season so that you climb the role levels faster the second time.

Pick a role before you pick a weapon
Wardogs splits progression into six roles: Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver and Pilot. Each has its own XP bar capped at level 100, and your Wardog level is the sum of all six, up to 600. Weapons and vehicles sit behind a role level, so the role you commit to decides what you can buy.
A coach starts by watching how you play. If you stay near teammates and like to help, Medic or Support will probably pay back first; if you prefer long sightlines, Recon is the natural fit. Driver and Pilot are a strong second choice once you understand the rotations they serve.
Because the roles share matches, one session can feed several XP bars at once. The lesson shows you what each role earns for in a match, so you can choose the actions that move the role you care about instead of grinding blindly.
Spend $10,000 on purpose
You begin every life with $10,000. Most items need a one-time unlock bought with your seasonal Cash, and a vendor price you pay again each life you carry them. The AK74, for example, is $10,000 to unlock and $1,600 per life.
The rebuy button offers your last kit back as one purchase, and it charges every item at full price again. An AK74 at $1,600, a FAL at $6,500 and Level 1 armor at $400 add up fast, which is why a habit of tapping rebuy quietly empties you. A coach has you rebuild the kit each life and keep what the fight actually needs.
The lesson also covers what to unlock first. Cash is seasonal and role levels reset at the next season reset, while Gold Bars are permanent and buy cosmetics only, so spending on gear that wins fights is the sensible use of Cash during a season.
Rotations, vehicles and the three-team map
A match puts up to 100 players in three teams around a Control Zone. You are rarely fighting one enemy: while you push one team, the third can arrive from the side, which is why timing a push matters more than aiming. A coach explains when to commit, when to give ground and from which side to take the zone.
Wardogs is a combined-arms game with a destructible battlefield, so vehicles, helicopters and tanks are part of almost every fight. The Driver and Pilot roles exist for them, and a lesson can focus on when a vehicle is worth its Cash, how to move a squad by transport and how to survive armor on foot.
Practice is live. The coach joins you in a real match, calls the rotations as they happen and stops to explain a decision afterwards, so the habit forms in the situation where you need it rather than in a video you forget.
Base building, logistics and faster progress
A forward operating base shortens the walk back to the fight, and supplies keep a squad stocked between pushes. Building with the hammer and keeping the base repaired are skills of their own, and Support carries the building tools. A coach shows when a base is worth the effort and where to place it so the other two teams cannot simply walk over it.
Progress per match is the other half. Kills are only one source of XP and Cash: objective play, revives, transport and logistics earn too. The coach looks at a match you played and points out what you left unused, so that the next one fills your role bars and your Cash faster.
Before you book, have a recent match or two ready to show and know which role you are leaning toward. Mention it in the order chat so the coach can plan the hours. Wardogs is in Steam Early Access and patches change numbers, so the coach teaches against the live version rather than an old guide.
