What time does ranked end in my region?

At 23:59 of your server's own clock. Pick your server above, or find it in the table: the UTC column shows the same moment for everyone.

Do Master, Grandmaster and Challenger end earlier?

Yes. The apex ladder locks at 23:45 server time, 15 minutes before ranked closes, and that snapshot decides your final apex tier.

Does my rank reset between seasons in 2026?

No. Inside the ranked year your tier and LP carry over from one season to the next; ranks reset once a year, in January.

Where will I be placed after the ranked reset?

After five placement games most players start about a tier below their final rank. Riot sets the exact rules for each year.

How do I get the Victorious skin?

Win 15 ranked games in the season (Solo/Duo and Flex count together) and be at Honor level 3 or higher when it closes.

Do I need Gold for the Victorious skin?

No. The Gold requirement was dropped in 2025; your rank only decides the chroma.

Which Victorious chroma will I get?

The chroma of your rank at 23:59:59 on the last day — not your peak — plus the chromas of every tier below it. Iron gets the skin without a chroma.

When are season rewards given out?

With the first patch of the new season, usually within days of the close.

Ranked reset in January

League resets ranks once a year, at the January boundary — never between the seasons of one year. After the reset you play five placement games, and most players start roughly a tier below where they finished.

Your final rank5 placement games≈ one tier lower

How far you drop depends on Riot's rules for that year; we follow their announcement.

Victorious skin and rewards by rank

15ranked wins this seasonSolo/Duo and Flex wins add up

3Honor level when it closesNo Gold requirement since 2025

The skin needs 15 ranked wins and Honor level 3 at the close; your rank does not gate it. Your rank at 23:59:59 on the last day — not your peak — gives the chroma of that tier and of every tier below it, except Iron.

Also at the end of the yearYour ranked icon and emote reflect the highest tier you reached during the whole ranked year. Players who earned all three Victorious skins of the year also get a Victorious border showing that tier. Everything lands with the first patch of the new season.

Challenger and Grandmaster cutoff at season end

Your final apex tier is the ladder at 23:45 on the last day, not 23:59. Challenger and Grandmaster have a limited number of seats and a minimum LP on each server, so the cutoff keeps moving in the last weeks.

What changes in 2027

Riot has not announced the 2027 dates. Since 2025 every year has had three seasons, a Victorious skin per season and a single reset in January; if that holds, Season 1 of 2027 starts with the first patch after the reset.

Every League of Legends ranked season end since 2011

Until 2022 a ranked season was a whole year and closed in November. 2023 had two splits, 2024 three, and since 2025 the year is three seasons, each with its own Victorious skin.
