A win in Bronze or Silver is quick work for a high-ranked player, while a win in Crimson or Iridescent can take several close matches. The price of one win is set by the rank you start from, so you pay for the lobbies the booster actually faces.
Top 250 is a live leaderboard rather than a rank with an SR line, so it is never offered as a starting point. If you are already in the top tiers, choose Iridescent as your current rank.
Ranked Play rules worth knowing
Ranked Play opened in Black Ops 7 with Season 2 on 5 February 2026 and unlocks after 50 matchmade multiplayer wins. Matches are played in Hardpoint, Search and Destroy and Control on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, with crossplay between them.
At each season reset, players from Bronze to Gold keep their SR, while Platinum and above play one placement match to set their starting point. Wins collected during a season also count towards the ranked rewards for that season.
From Crimson, a party may hold only one or two players within one rank of each other. That is why Duo orders in the top tiers are matched with a booster of the right rank, and why Solo is often the quicker choice there.
