How prestige works in Black Ops 7
Prestige opens at military rank 55. Entering it moves you to the next prestige, resets your military rank to 1 and starts the 55 ranks again.
There are ten prestiges in total. Each one is a full climb, so the distance from No Prestige to Prestige 10 is ten complete runs through the military rank.
The order runs at your pick: from the prestige you are in now to the one you choose. If you are halfway through a prestige, tell the booster your military rank in the chat and the climb resumes from there.
What resets and what stays
A prestige resets the military rank and with it the rank-based unlocks: weapons, perks, scorestreaks and equipment open again as the new climb goes on.
Permanent unlock tokens are the way around that. Each one keeps a chosen item available through later prestiges, and the booster leaves them for you to spend unless you list your picks in the order chat.
Prestige icons and calling cards, purchased bundles, battle pass rewards and other cosmetics are not affected. You keep everything you collected, and the new prestige adds to it.
From Prestige 10 to Prestige Master
Prestige 10 is the last numbered prestige and the most recognisable icon in a lobby. Reaching it means every prestige reward of the track is in your collection.
After Prestige 10 the progression continues as Prestige Master, a long track of levels that runs up to level 1000. It is sold as a separate order, priced by the levels you choose.
Many players order Prestige 10 first and decide on Prestige Master once they see how they like the icon. Either way, everything you earned along the prestiges stays on the account.
